Well, I left Fort Carson Colorado yesterday afternoon. All my friends were working, and I also felt unwelcome in the barracks (technically I shouldnt have been there). I drove a good 10 hours or so Through Colorado.

I travelled down RTE 160. On the map it says that this is the scenic route. I think the highest point I dove was around 10000 ft above sea level. The snow was falling up at that level. Had to stay in 2nd gear as to not fly down the mountain and over a cliff in a speeding sled of a car. I was safe, even though there was a huge line of cars behind me… I didnt want to crash.

I wanted to see the four corners (New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado) but the monument was closed. What kind of nonsense is that? Its just a concrete slab with the 4 states names on it. haha. The hours are from 8:00am til 5:00 pm. Fine, I didnt want to see the Four Corners anyways.

Now I am in a Holiday Inn in Kayenta Arizona. I am about to go eat the Free continental breakfast, then drive to see the Grand Canyon. Then from there, we will see… maybe Vegas, maybe not. Ill know later when I am there.

bye for now.

Oh dear I cant compete with my two counterparts as I got rid of my uniform back in 19canteen…
What I can say is although I am a Brit I love the the desert; I like the extremes of temperatures. Does that make me some kind of nutter? I had enough rain for 6 months last year.

I was always sporty and didnt mind runs etc etc. It was always something I could beat the guys at…that and being a very good shot.

Bet thats annoyed you two =)

These days I dont like heat unless its air-conditioned and I dont even run for a bus…..

I imagine the UN (in doing nothing there is only death…) will bring all sorts of stuff with them UT. Hang on and hopefully the temporary politicians will send along more help.

Just read your posts UT. I never thought that there could be so much funny stuff in a war.

Errr, it seems my two mates are off fighting for their countries leaving me to hold the fort. A proper place for a female too I should add.
Does this mean that Rosie (raving fundamentalist evangelical Christian) is going to take the site over?

What I am going to do is try 1) to keep the website active by writing an online diary of the war (if there is one). 2) Find any snippets of info out there I think you should know about…. and that won’t be much =)

Currently there are an awful lot of prophets out there who think they know what is going to happen next. I’m not one of them. Psalm 74 verse 9. “We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet, neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.” (KJV) What I can tell you is that I feel doors are shutting that won’t open again… ever. It must have felt like this in Noah’s ark. That time God shut the door.

Israel better watch out. America is so busy doing other tasks that this may be an undiscovered weak spot for her.

Mob and UT. There is nothing like support for what you are doing. I support you guys in my time and my prayers. Rosie.

(Don’t let anything take you by surprise….)

Well that’s another chapter of British history closed. The death of Myra Hyndley will be closure for so many people. There will also be speculation as to where she has gone to in eternity. As I always say, God knows who are His and some of them we will be surprised at and some we will wonder where they are.

Last night I thought it was something spat up from hell, anouncing it in a “Children in Need” charity program. Typical I thought, everyone will get upset and tune off. How little do I know. This charity has made so much money overnight it is astonishing. Could it be that by dying just now children were put to the forefront of our minds? Today I can see it in a different light, by dying when she did it released so much more to those whom she had preyed on earlier in her life. I’m not excusing what she and her accomplice did all those years ago, it’s just that I’m looking at it differently.

It is written that God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked (you look it up, you can’t find it email me). We might feel that war in Iraq and elsewhere is justified. But it does leave a lot of dead people. In the film “Zulu” the victorious British officer was asked (it’s from memory by the way I’ve not seen it recently) “Was it like this for you the first time?” (That feeling of waste or emptiness.) Well, from his reply it was the first time for him too. You achieve your objective and you may get honoured but at such a cost! From now on I’m not going to take pleasure from the death of the wicked. Whether it’s the one or the many.

White Rose.

Btw, UT, your emails are very interesting. I’ll get back to you on them personally sometime this weekend. Rosie

Iam the wife of UT. All things cleared up?Jolly good!!!!!! This piece will probably only be of interest to U.K people only. As these people may be aware, our fire fighting personnel are considering strike action for a 40 percent pay increase p.a. Well and good. I completely agree with any sort of pay increase for our public sectors. They are the most over expectated, under appreciated people the
British have.
But, at the end of the day, when these people do go on strike,(which they are well within their rights to do) who picks up the tab?
As with any nation, when the going gets tough, the military get going. In my opinion, the most under rated, undervalued force we have is our military. Not only are these people expected to spend long periods of time away, hey! They are also expected to give their lives, support their local community and businesses aswell!!!!
The news teams have announced that should the fire fighters go on strike, they will let the army deal with emergencies instead, who in most likelihood spend more time away from their families and earn a considerably less amount than the fire service… but do they complain??
All British people know that their public services are much undervalued, but do they really appreciate what their military does in times of peace?? So remember, Hail to the bus driver, bus driver man!
