Well, yesterday morning I woke to find my Honda Fit up on plastic 2 liter bottle carriers and all of my wheels stolen. Every lug nut was a wheel lock which obviously did not deter or prevent anything. Whoever did it must have a pretty crappy life to be stealing wheels. Karma will come around for them. There is no point getting angry about it.

Stolen Wheels from My Honda Fit

Little do they know, that the tires on the rims were about ready to be replaced sometime this year. They had about 35000 miles on them. The rims themselves are about as cheap of an aftermarket wheel as you can buy. Sixteen inch flat black wheels.

After waiting 5.5 hours for the tow truck that claimed it would be there within an hour, I got to watch them pull the car up onto the flatbed. I thought maybe they would have a special technique for getting it up there without trashing the car. Their technique was just pull it up with a chain. Luckily the plastic blocks underneath the car worked as a sled and didnt allow too much sliding on the actual ground.

The plastic blocks did however rub across the side skirts of the body kit – which I assume will be repaired/replaced by the repair shop which is also covered by insurance. I watched the disc of the brakes bounce off of the chain on the flatbed truck. And who knows if the front of the car has any damage from resting on the ground.

    Sorry about your Fit!
Saw a great license tag. It said “tobetied”
I was confused until I saw that it was a Honda FIT!

Ours were stolen in Maryland. It seems to be an epidemic. The police simply took our report over the phone.

Lo and behold, some jackass has been posting the wheels and tires on craigslist. Any ideas on how to convert that into an arrest?

I live in Lancaster, PA. I have had my Honda Fit’s alloy/wheels stolen twice. I am going to try to just get steel wheels to see if my lucks any better.

this just happened to me in cambridge, MA today. found my 2009 honda fit sport (black, like yours!) on a milk crate and a cinder block. i was lucky enough to scrounge up enough spare tires so i can at least get it wheeled onto a flatbed towtruck. god, what kind of scum does this? i saw honda fit wheels for sale on craigslist but i doubt the cops will do anything with the info i’m giving them. i want to thrash whoever did this.

Had this happen to me today. Fortunately I have a good mechanic, one of who’s employees had 4 tires/rims which would fit the car so it could at least be driven back to the shop instead of dragging it onto a flatbed. I honestly hope that the guys who did this are hit by a passing truck the next time they pull this crap.
