So Lily took 2 steps without holding on the other night. It was a very crude version of a walk, so I am sure walking is not too far away. She prefers to stand vs. lay down. She crawls to get to where she wants to stand. She is also getting quite good at climbing up onto or into things.
About a week ago, we saw her first tooth coming in. It was a front bottom tooth. It was protruding from the gum all of a sudden. We were quite excited since all other babies we know around the same age have a mouthful of teeth already. Then the next day, we could not see the tooth. Its the case of the amazing retractable tooth. I would not put that talent past her. Now the tooth is no longer visible, but there is a bump. Maybe the gum swelled up around the newly sprouted tooth?
We have also tried feeding Lily some sliced cheese. As most babies, she loves it. Just last night she ate 3 pieces without hesitation. You can tell when she really likes a food when none of it is dropped down to the dog to be eaten in mid air. The cat also likes to eat from the high chair:

Doesn’t she know she’s not allowed to walk? Or to get teeth? She’s not allowed to grow up yet.
Some fatherly advice. For all of ya.
On your own children:
they learn so quick
and forget so slow
just the things
you don’t want them to know.
