“It’s been a long time coming, but tonight… change has come to America,” Those are the words of the President-Elect Barrack Obama. Makes you think does it not? If that is the perception embodied by the Presdient to be, then really, what puzzle pieces does he feel he has to pick up?
I for one am not surprised Obama has been elected. He is the better of two evils, but understand that when I say that I do so based on my perception that McCain was a weak candidate in all honesty, but not on any substantiated belief in a weakness of Obama, other than he appears to be untested, and lets be honest…….inexperianced on the world stage.
But this IS what America needs and I truly hope he can fulfill the promise.
” Tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity and unyielding hope.”
He is right.
I personally wish Obama a successful presidency. He is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise clogged exhaust, but overall I hope that the American people profit from him and that the mission benefits everyone worldwide for what America does or does not has a direct affect on all of us, and that there is no gain on the coat tails of might if it is understood that Americans themselves suffer the brunt of a no gain misadventure.
It has and always will be my side of the fence. Tis why I serve..afterall.
Well said. You my friend are a scholar and a gentleman.
