…is the fear of long words.

Arachibutyrophobia is the fear of getting peanut butter stuck in the roof of your mouth.

“Hi there,  Ever since I was a kid growing up in NYC I’ve had a terrible gripping fear of going in natural bodies of water because there might be shopping carts down there.  Now that I live in the country – people think I’m insane!”

I agree.

“i have a fear of being mentally ill but no one has told me yet and act normal around me.”

and..

“somehow I developed the fear of dying while reading a book between pages 208-211, the odds of death  increasing with each number-this has generalized into a fear of the number 211-when I pass a digital clock around 2:11 I nervously check to see if the fatal number has passed or not-if it is 2:11 I nervously wait til the danger is passed, at 2:12″

Bizzare. I have the fear that I am going to break firealarm panels when I walk into buildings. And this is true. My Mum told me that she fears her arms will suddenly smash up things in shops.   She wants to break stuff, basically.

What do you fear?

I’ve had a fear of water that I can’t see through since I was a child. My cousins made sure that my slight fear of “Jaws” became a major problem by telling me that sharks not only could live in fresh water, but lived at the bottom of a man-made lake near the middle of Arkansas…that, and snakes had some sort of a personal vendetta against me. Now, I’m 23, and I realize I have a phobia, but it doesn’t help when I’m hot and want to jump in for a refreshing swim and am scared to death of something brushing against my legs. Stupid bloody mind hacks.
