March 20, 2006 in Snoqualmie Washington. We had great weather and everything worked out perfectly. There was too much food, and lots of drinks and our close family was there to witness it. Until we get more photos from the photographer, here we are:

Biblicone.com creates and then spreads Idiocy at a great rate. Last year alone, more idiots were seen lingering around together in public places. One anti-idiot once claimed “It is our duty to dismantle this biblicone.com idiot group, because they are associations acting outside the law. The internet authority have a duty to investigate and dismantle them.” Saying that the government would inisist on a strict enforcement of a February law which says that known biblicone.com’ies have to report to police stations during tea time.

Idiots arguments that their “rights” are being violated, or that they are being “discriminated” against, are likewise useless in these debates. Our society doesn’t view dumb people as generally capable of making responsible decisions, and we’ve already decided that restricting their rights is an acceptable response to that problem.

No (and it was a poor attempt at humour, I admit), but in the news today, this Dutchman is building a modern Noah’s Ark.

“Dutchman Johan Huibers is building a working replica of Noah’s Ark as a testament to his Christian faith.

The 47-year-old from Schagen, 45km (30 miles) north of Amsterdam, plans to set sail in September through the interior waters of the Netherlands.

Johan’s Ark is a fifth of the size of Noah’s and will carry farmyard animals”

No probs, but Johan goes on to say “This will speak very much to children… they’ll hear the creak of the wood, smell the smell of the dung”, which is essentially very true.  If I were to take my kids to venture inside this impressive structure, I can guarantee the first thing they would tell me is, “Dad, this boat stinks like Bills back door! Lets go!”

Anyway, there is other news in the world of news, but none of them were quite so dull. Carry on.

Some woman goes to a demo and holds up the banner she took hours to make which tends to state the bleeding obvious! Come on, I don’t think there are many who would dispute such a claim. At least colour the letters in with different shades or something :S

…shouted Spectators at the recent “Run round my Gorgeous body”, IronMan Triathlon Event.  It was reported that the two freaks pictured below had squeezed into A leotard and decided to enter the competition as one person.  But, failure quickly ensued after Mr “UT” nearly drowned in the first part of the event, having slipped and wedged his noggin in the toilet,  and Mr “M” was seen peddling a pink Tricycle in the direction of France, presumably to evade awkward questions by waiting Police.

If seen, do not approach.  Freaks!!

Today I am getting marrited at 4:15 pm Pacific time to my lovely Kirsten at the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie Washington.

______

I bought a new computer with super fast peices recently:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core Processor with upgraded Thermaltake Big Typhoon Cooling Fan with Heatsink — DFI nF4-DAGF Mobo — XFX Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card with upgraded ZALMAN Heatsink Fan — 2GB of G.SKILL DDR400 RAM — Huge Acer Black 20″ Widescreen LCD Monitor — Black Coolmax Case — 2 - 80GB SATA drives — 2 - 250GB RAID 1 Storage drives

I bought it thinking it would be blazing fast for gaming. It can play CounterStrike Source very well… and thats about it. I cant get Battlefield 1942 to even load. Battlefield 2 demo can play pretty well. Games like Red Orchestra using the Unreal engine wont load either.

There are many fixes I have found online to attempt to solve the problems. I have installed an AMD dual core hotfix. I have installed the Win XP dual core hotfix. (Read about that here)

I have updated all my video card drivers (current version is Nvidia Forceware 81.98). I have also tried older versions (such as 77.72 that DFI suggests for the mobo and even older 5x.xx versions).

I have updated the Nvidia nForce system drivers (versions 6.66 and 6.70 - for sound/lan/RAID/IDE controllers on mobo).

I have run a memtest on my RAM with no errors. I have updated windows xp sp2. I have tried to update the registry to tell the Nvidia drivers to not use the second core. I have changed the affinity on the second core while trying to load the games. I have tried xp with only sp1 and without either service pack… all with no luck.

Programs other than games run super fast. Windows boots up almost within a blink of an eye. What is the deal? When I get back from my wedding and honeymoon, I have some ideas of what to swap out to see if the problem is fixed. Otherwise I am at a loss… Some peice of the computer does not want games to be played.
