Well, tomorro is the day… I leave Texas. I like the state, but am so ready to leave because some of the things I dont like about the Army is associated right now with being in Texas. Plus, Killeen TX is just a really boring podunk town with too many military types. I am ready to go somewhere with a larger slice of society in it…
Driving will be a large part of the next few weeks, as well as hanging out with friends who have dispersed themselves around the vast expanse of the U.S. I want to leave quickly, but that doesnt mean that I wont miss the friends Ive made here in TX. Its just that I am so ready to leave the Army, this unit and this town.
