RE: Christmas Party
I’m happy to inform you that the company Christmas Party will take place
on December 23, starting at noon in the private function room at the
Grill House. There will be a cash bar and plenty of drinks! We’ll have a
small band playing traditional carols…feel free to sing along. And
don’t be surprised if our CEO shows up dressed as Santa Claus! A
Christmas tree will be lit at 1:00pm. Exchange of gifts among employees
can be done at that time; however, no gift should be over £5.00 to make
the giving of gifts easy for everyone’s pockets. This gathering is only
for employees! Our CEO will make a special announcement at that time!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

RE: Holiday Party
In no way was yesterday’s memo intended to exclude our Jewish employees.
We recognize that Chanukah is an important holiday, which often
coincides with Christmas, though unfortunately not this year. However,
from now on we’re calling it our “Holiday Party.” The same policy
applies to any other employees who are not Christians or those still
celebrating Reconciliation Day. There will be no Christmas tree present.
No Christmas carols sung. We will have other types of music for your
enjoyment.
Happy now?
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

RE: Holiday Party
Regarding the note I received from a member of Alcoholics Anonymous
requesting a non-drinking table … you didn’t sign your name. I’m happy
to accommodate this request, but if I put a sign on a table that reads,
“AA Only”; you wouldn’t be anonymous anymore. How am I supposed to
handle this? Somebody?
Forget about the gifts exchange, no gifts exchange are allowed since the
union members feel that £5.00 is too much money and executives believe
£5.00 is a little chintzy.
NO GIFTS EXCHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED.

RE: Holiday Party
What a diverse group we are! I had no idea that December 20 begins the
Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during
daylight hours. There goes the party! Seriously, we can appreciate how a
luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees’
beliefs. Perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until
the end of the party- or else package everything for you to take it home
in a little foil doggy baggy. Will that work? Meanwhile, I’ve arranged
for members of Weight Watchers to sit farthest from the dessert buffet
and pregnant women will get the table closest to the toilets. Gays are
allowed to sit with each other. Lesbians do not have to sit with Gay
men, each will have their own table. Yes, there will be flower
arrangement for the Gay men’s table. To the person asking permission to
cross dress, no cross-dressing allowed though. We will have booster
seats for short people. Low-fat food will be available for those on a
diet. We cannot control the
salt used in the food we suggest for those people with high blood
pressure to taste first. There will be fresh fruits as dessert for
Diabetics, the restaurant cannot supply “No Sugar” desserts. Sorry!
Did I miss anything?!?!?

RE: The F*ucking Holiday Party
Vegetarian pr*icks I’ve had it with you people!!! We’re going to keep
this party at the Grill House whether you like it or not, so you can sit
quietly at the table furthest from the “grill of death,” as you so
quaintly put it, and you’ll get your fu*cking salad bar, including
organic tomatoes. But you know, tomatoes have feelings, too. They scream
when you slice them. I’ve heard them scream. I’m hearing them scream
right NOW! I hope you all have a rotten holiday! Drive drunk and die,
The Bi*tch from H*ELL!!!!!!!!

RE: Patty Lewis and Holiday Party
I’m sure I speak for all of us in wishing Patty Lewis a speedy recovery
and I’ll continue to forward your cards to her. In the meantime,
management has decided to cancel our Holiday Party and give everyone the
afternoon of the 23rd off with full pay.
Happy Holidays!
### Happy Day After Thanksgiving ###
I am in Atlanta Georgia visiting my dad. The weather is great. I am with -k and she finally met my dad. Bye bye.
This past weekend I modified my Scion XB some more. I added a new YDR short ram air intake. This allows for a larger mass of cool air to enter the engine giving it slightly more horsepower and torque. Any little bit helps with this 95+ horsepower engine. Some aftermarket intakes make the engine louder, luckily this one doesnt. It does however seem to increase the acceleration after about 2000 rpms. The intake is fairly inexpensive (about $85 compared to over 150+ for other brands). The old stock intake was a huge mass of formed plastic that just seemed very inefficent. The new intake is about a twelve inch aluminium tube with a giant K&N filter on the tip. The intake now sucks in air from behind the front left headlight where the air is slightly cooler than right next to the engine. The “how-to” tech article can be read here at scionlife.com as well as install pics.

The old intake. Seems very inefficient.
Additional more minor mod of the weekend was a grounding wire install. Basically its a series of 4 different grounding wires connected in series to the frame on the left side, two different spots on the engine, the negative of the battery, and ending on the frame on the right side of the car. This is supposed to balance out the electrical system of the car, improving acceleration and possibly cleaner audio.
The next planned mods are a new header and a short shifter.

I have a game idea. Everyone has played or at least knows what Gran Turismo is (I hope… if not, this post will not interest you). My idea is an enhancment, or even a hack of this game. Lets keep all the functionality: large amount of customization of each car to a realistic amount. But to make it a bit more of a game vs. a real life emulator, lets add in the possibilities of modifying your cars beyond what real life would allow. If a car has 100 horsepower in real life and with modifications you can only squeeze out about 150 hp, maybe the game would allow you to shove 500+hp into the car. I think people would enjoy taking a car they have or like from real life, and modifying it beyond what is physically possible inside the game. It is a game after all, we dont need to follow all the rules of physics that exist in our everyday. Lets push the boundries and make it a ‘game.’
How about this game idea:
- Detail of all the real cars found in Gran Turismo 4
- The modification possibilities of Need For Speed Underground 2 and Gran Turismo (but push it further)
- The high speed race action and crash possibilities of Burnout 3 Takedown
I would like that game. Of course take time and get all the glitches out before the game is released. So many games are released early to make a buck and then it just backfires and the game ends up sucking.
That is my superficial idea. Enjoy.

Suck it and see.
Some people know what they want out of life, some have no clue. Some people treat others the way they want to be treated, some treat others the way they have been treated. I dont have all the answers, but I have better ideas of what type of things are important to me vs. back a few years ago. Call it being more mature than before, but I dont want anyone to actually think that I am mature (hehe). My priorities have shifted and I feel like I am in a different place than most the people I know. I dont feel like I relate to people who were once close to me. Is anyone really that close to me? Do I keep people out? Maybe I am the cause of that? Maybe I am too protective of myself that when people try to get close they cant? Or maybe its that I have different requirements for who I consider a friend? Maybe I am just feeling down and all this is a bunch of nonsense and I will want to delete this post later. We will see.
