This past Halloween weekend (sat.) I waited for some car parts to be delivered by FedEx. I ordered some Tanabe DF210 lowering springs and a DC Sports axle back exhaust. I read the how-to tech sections on scionlife.com and felt confident in my attempt to install the parts myself.
It took a few hours but I did it. I was able to install my parts with out any problems and hardly any frustration. I didnt lose any bolts or have any spare parts left over that should have been on the car. The car makes no squeeky sounds and nothing is loose.
The lowering springs really make a difference in fast cornering (not that i speed but its fun to turn corners at high speeds). The ride is not much any rougher than it was with the stock springs. The whole car sits 2″ lower than stock so the wheels fit nicely inside the wheel wells.
The exhaust has a nice low rumble sound that isnt annoying like some lawn mower mufflers sound. This one is beefy sounding (for a 4 cylinder car). It also feels like it has quicker response and maybe a few more horsepower than with the stock muffler.
Take a look in the photo section for some pics of the final product.
107 days until I leave Iraq. Then shortly after that I’m out of the Army for good, which means I can start being thinking for myself again. What will I do post Army you ask? I’m going to do the two things in life I love the most: grow facial hair and date underaged teenage girls.
I beat Shadow of the Colossus last night. All 16 colossi. Now its time to do the time trials and try hard mode. Dont forget to eat your tree fruits.
Car parts are being shipped. I am going to try to put Tanabe DF210 lowering springs and a DC Sports exhaust on my car. Maybe this weekend if the parts arrive in time. Hope its not cold or rainy.
Take a quick glance here: gasbgon.com. “Jim’s family can ride in the car with him again.”
I think I am bitter.
The people of Sioux Falls, S.D., can finally sleep soundly in their beds: The nefarious midnight ninja has been nabbed.
Cops responding to numerous 911 calls last week pulled up to a 41st Street curb to find a ninja patrolling the shadows armed with a pair of nunchakus and a sheathed sword, according to the Argus Leader.
However, the 15-year-old shadow warrior, Cal Geiser, was apparently just doing his job, promoting a local store selling Halloween costumes called Halloween Express.
“I was just out walking around in my ninja costume, twirling my nunchakus,” Geiser told the Argus Leader. “After 20 minutes of that, I took out my sword and looked at it. I turned around, and there was a cop pointing his gun at me.”
After the officer took off his mask and cuffed him, Geiser told the Argus Leader, “They were like, ‘Oops.’”
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) ” The author of a new state law that allows felony charges against owners of dangerous dogs was hospitalized over the weekend” after his own dog attacked him.
Why dont we have wireless cable yet? We do have wireless cable internet… and all the tv channels are digital now (via digital cable) so why not wireless cable boxes for the home? Maybe we could start it off with a coax cable attached to a small wireless receiver (to be hidden behind the tv) and then you could put your wireless cable box somewhere else.
This would be great for all the new flat tvs especially when mounted on the wall.
Eventually all televisions could come with the wireless adapter (once a frequency is agreed upon) built in (as well as the coax and component connections). With the dropping prices of wireless routers and modems, why wouldnt the television be on this same path?
Maybe we put a radius limit on the wireless cable box to prevent people from sitting in their house next door enjoying your broadcast of wireless porn channels? Maybe we could have home insulation also shield your house from emitting such information from your wireless modem or cable box.
Of course, I am not an engineer so my idea may be thwarted by the current amount of information making up a full screen television program and how much info can be sent wirelessly via current technology. And of course the real reason this doesnt happen yet… they havnt figured out how to make the most amount of money off of it.
