Well my friends, the time is near to elect our leader for the next four years. Don’t vote for that guy. Don’t vote for that guy either. Vote for him over there. Or how about her over there.
I am feeling slightly old today. My back hurt as I crawled out of bed. My shoulder aches from lugging around a squirming 25-lb scream for 2 hours last night, and 3 1/2 the night before. My hips hurt (still) from giving birth to that same squirming 25-lb scream, over 8 months ago. Anyway, the point was, I’m mostly feeling old because this will be my second presidential election. When I was young (as if I’m not right now) I never thought I’d be old enough to vote, or old enough to care. But, now I am, and now I do.
Lets all band together and vote in a third party, so as to have more than 2 evils to choose from the next time around. Of course, someones probably changed that law by now, and the law now says I AM GOD HERE! So go in peace, and find your polling place some time on Tuesday. The future is happening whether you like it or not. I am now an MTV spokesperson, and I say “Rock the Vote”. Have a spooky Halloween. Stay tuned for pictures of a squirming 25-lb snorting pig. :-)
Right now I am attending PLDC, the Leadership course for the Army to become a Sergeant. It is 2 weeks long and I am half way thru it right now. Ill be back soon. weee.
Now, this is very funny. If you can’t laugh, then you need help to be honest.
Below is a link to the Guardian Online, which is the net version of a popular broadsheet here in Blighty. As I post this I will admit that I havent looked hard into what it did to influence the replies you will read but, they were very funny in parts. Don’t worry though, there are many Brits who would post equal amounts of funny threats and opinions. Good work!
“Last week G2 launched Operation Clark County to help readers have a say in the American election by writing to undecided voters in the crucial state of Ohio. In the first three days, more than 11,000 people requested addresses. Here is some of the reaction to the project that we received from the US”
I have nothing to say. However, I have watched with great interest, under the affluence of incahol during the late hours of the Knight, the 3 debates between Bushell and Kerris. Much fun. I would’nt vote for either If I was honest, and as I don’t have a choice..who cares? So I thought I’d go see what others have to say. The Blog below leads to some of those whose thoughts aren’t mine. Had they been mine, they wouldn’t have been theirs and I would have said something different anyway. So..venture on into Bushbaby.com and Kernel.co.ummmK. My sober opinion is that I dont like Kerry’s site. Its weak in comparison (visually), but he does have big hair.

Kerry vs. Bush:
Have you seen the John Kerry commercial in which George Bush pledges to help
Seniors on Medicare and “the very next day imposes a 17% premium increase -
the biggest in history”?
That ad is a stoke of genius on Kerry’s part and will surely gain him many
votes among the uninformed.
As it turns out, the 17% increase was not imposed by President Bush but was
mandated by the “balanced budget agreement” signed by President Clinton,
voted into law by Senator John Kerry, and was scheduled to come into effect
during the Bush administration. President Bush had no authority to reverse
what had been voted into law by Senator Kerry during the Clinton
administration.
Is Kerry is counting on the ignorance of the American people?
SuperCaliFragaListicExtraCryingBaby…
Somedays the crying seems to go on and on and on… Not the baby’s crying, but my own. When I don’t get enough sleep, even 30 seconds of his crying can make me want to cry. But last night I had about 10 hours of sleep. You’d think that was enough to feel rested. However, I woke up once wondering why the baby hadn’t woken up yet. Then, I woke up because the baby did wake up. Then, I got woken up by my husband getting out of bed. And then I woke up cause I had to pee. And the baby woke up for good in the morning. Well, now the baby is asleep for his morning nap, and I feel like I didn’t get any sleep! Waking up that much during the night doesn’t sound that bad, and it really isn’t, but the fact that it takes me about 1/2 hour to fall back to sleep each time, is the problem. So that is my rant of the day. Those of you who are childless, enjoy your sleep. Those of you with children, enjoy your children!
Well, last tuesday, I went to the promotion board to become an e-5 sergeant. I didnt study much, maybe like 3 days worth of actual studying. I had a feeling that the key to the board was the level of confidence exhuded during the board interview question asking part (which is what the board is). The board consisted of one sergeant major and three first sergeants…. thats quite of bit of rank to be talking to all at the same time.
They asked me quite a few questions from many different topics, including leadership, maintenance, NBC, customs, unit history… I felt like I only answered like half of the questions, and the half that I answered only had a half answer. But I guess the board does not look for just the right answers.
So by december, I should see myself being promoted. Giving me at most, 93 days to enjoy it. From today on I have 145 days left in my active duty contract. The future is still unknown for me. But good things will and are happening.
