Defeatist thinking is sort of catching though… I suppose we have to hope for good to prevail over evil. What if those people who have died in Iraq were quite willing to give up their lives for a greater good? I come from a faith that believes that in the end love will conquer all. It, to me until recently, looked almost wimpy to just stand and die there but recently I have changed my mind. I think that even under the threat of death a Christian should still be able to love and forgive. Faith, hope, love. The greatest of these truly is love.

You’re not wrong hun… I think its in human nature to be selfish. Its just some countries have reined it in a lot better than others. Its also hard to impose your morals on somebody who appears not to have any regarding life and death. The suicide bomber is a monster unleashed and in the end it will look like violence pays. But it will only LOOK like it… I feel sometimes we should just get out and leave them to it but I know in saying that the result would be total anarchy and a whole lot of dead peace-loving Iraqis who never get a mention. Im just rambling I know but I wish we had never got involved in the first place. Too many dead good folks.. Rosie

My opinion will have to remain constant here regarding the Middle East. How could our nation (or any other) stop a war that has been raging for longer than our own government has been in power? Death is what keeps the Middle East functioning. There will be death and killing there if our troops are there or not. Roadside bombings and suicide bombings in public will still happen if we have a strong military presence there or not… Whats the point of all the troops there now? The government that is put in place there will still crumble and be taken over by aggressive militants, just like always. I thought everyone knew that history always repeats itself? Help me change my opinion if I am wrong.

Oooo I can just see it all now called the “Yassin Martyrs Brigade” who can draw on Arabs from any country to line up and pop themselves in the race to grab what remaining virgins are left…WR

I get the feeling that Gulf War II is becoming more unpopular by the hour. Look for Tony Blair to start getting cuddly with Europe again. Governments could still topple; people are fed up of the ever increasing death toll in this region. And Im not sure killing the old guy in the wheelchair was a good idea either. Last thing you need is to bring your enemies together when your best weapon is always division…

You’ve blown up kitchens before then? o.O
Rosie (I prefer the custard method myself….)

______

Turn off the pilot light, leave on a buisiness trip, let the kitchen fill with gas, then when the refrigerator turns on, it will ignite the gas and blow up your kitchen, thus freeing you from all your worldly possesions. Then you can start a fight club. Or not.

Who says terrorism doesn’t pay? They will take out your hamster and shoot it if they want the cage. Perhaps anti-terrorist members should spend some time living in Israel; they would learn more there in 3 months than in any other place. The fact that they love death more than life is not news to my ears. I have heard this all before in Israel years ago. Time for the rest of the world to catch up.

In fact I considered blowing up my kitchen and claiming for it on our insurance. Only problem is my kitchen has a history of blowing up… I remember the dreadful “foil in the microwave” episode… grisly…
