In the afterlife, do the virgins stay virgins after they are ‘de-flowered’? Seventy virgins does not seem like that many when you will be ‘living’ for eternity in the afterlife…
Why would space research be considered wrong? I agree that the money could be spent elsewhere. Why not research living under the ocean before thinking about living on a barren waste of a planet several years away? Under the ocean has more to offer than a rock with no atmosphere. That is just one of my opinions that I would like everyone to think about. I expect a 100 page essay on life under the ocean as an alternative to space travel by the end of the week.

Just wanted to share an adventure I had the other night. 1st, I went to camp Casey (45 minute cab ride) and picked up my ps2. I got a mod chip and a new lens installed in it so I can play copied games and DVDs from any country. Then from there we went to camp howze (45 min bus ride) to get into another cab to go to the Korean Wal-Mart. In this cab-van, was a TV… and on this cab-van TV was playing porn.. .haha. Strange. Not only that, but the porn was overdubbed in French. Even the moans were overdubbed. The porno characters were dressed up like Arabians. Even weirder…
We finally arrived at Wal-Mart. Its a couple of floors but instead of having escalators or stairs, they have the moving sidewalks that take you to your desired floor. To keep your cart with you and to prevent a roll-off on the moving sidewalk, there is little grooves that hold onto this plastic ridge on the wheels. Its pretty cool. The Wal-Mart has a huge fish/stinky section of food. Everything around smells like fish.
After Wal-Mart, we went to a place called Bar Zest. This bar is the kind where they juggle the bottles, spray fire out of their mouths and light the drinks on fire. It was pretty cool. One round in particular had broken the glass and spilled fire out onto the table. We put the fire out with some Bacardi 151 and some matches… just kidding.
Thats a summed up version of my night. Enjoy.
Currently I am the only one of my Christian circle who thinks the space program is a good thing. They tell me that the money could be better spent on the poor, the starving and the weak in our society. They point the finger at NASA, saying that there is not much point in spending millions on poking through rubble when there is so much suffering in the world.
This, however, is not NASA’s job… its the job of the Christian to see to such things. It is all too easy to point at the non-Christian but we as a church have not sold everything we have to give to the poor. This does include me and in some small way I intend to do my bit. If we gave up all our gold, stocks and shares and all our land we would be able to do such wonderful things in this world. I say shut up unless you intend to do something about it yourself.
I do have two concerns though. One is that the universe we live in has a way of cleaning up after itself. It has antibodies if you like. If we “infect” another planet, shall we say, we can surely expect difficulties in making a permanent prescence where you are constantly trying to be wiped out….
Secondly, there is no mention of any of this in the holy handbook. However, God has in the past intervened when things were getting out of hand. Genesis 11, 6 says “And the Lord God said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained fom them, which they have imagined to do.” You read the rest…
