So we are still running to the First World War pattern, complete with killer virus now. Now that’s something we didn’t plan for. We spend all our time worried about what “they” will do and in the end it’s something very different yet just as deadly.

I didn’t do all that well in Biology but I do know these viruses go for the old, the infants and the weak. But perhaps ther is another class it will go for; all those weakened by years of stress, poor diet and no exercise. All the molly-coddled, air-conditioned sweatless people who have already taken every antibiotic known to man. Anybody in the first world really.

Shall I have a stab at the mildly prophetic? OK, there is some sort of intervention in the war coming up. Now whether that’s a person, a nation or a political group I dont know, but they are going to try to stop the war in Iraq. It might just be a guy with a gun but something is up….
