It seems we Brits have taken the Iraqi Information officer to our hearts. He is nuts but then so are the Brits. He is a bit like a mad uncle whom you have to take on holiday with you purely for entertainment value. Please do everything you can to save this man in one piece, he’s great and the only thing in this war that really makes you laugh!

I am almost convinced. In fact the thing that really heartens me is the footage of the Iraqi translator going back to his old village after ‘91.

I am not sure swaggering around Baghdad is the way to do it guys. One thing I have always admired about the Americans is the respect shown in their conversation. Was that soldier doing his nails? What next, curlers? (Kelly’s Heroes) Respect (no matter to whom you show it) goes a long way to help any situation. Show me you can be the better men….

I still think the world is not convinced. This is either because the media aren’t reporting it or it hasn’t been found yet. I go with the latter. Imagine if those 200 bodies the Brits found turned out to be Iranian….

What would I have done if I were Mr Hussein and a huge army was after me? I’d have launched every weapon I had, blown every bridge and then run away at the last. Other leaders of such regimes would not do that, they would kill themselves before you got to them. Or has he already left?
