“I have so dealt with my past I can’t remember what I just said.”
A Rosie-ism. (And I made that up it’s not copied heehee.)
Thoughts go out to UT Hooligan and familiy on their loss. Additional thoughts go out to UT Hooligan and family because shipping out is in his very near future. And I am leaving for initial Army training March 5th… Things may get a bit quiet around here for a while… stay tuned.
I think all this marching is because people dont want to fight anymore. The warrior spirit died with the WW2 generation. We just want to talk about it and hope it goes away. I wish Terry Wogan would do the commentary for the Security Council. My parents fell asleep while it was on. I just saw a bunch of people in suits. Nil pwan.
The US and the UK have had to bail out Europe twice before. We are having to do it again. I think that whatever happens the UN will never be the same again. What if we find those WMD? Oh the shame of those who refuse to do anything. Pick a side and stay there. Me? I am on the Lord,s side.
War is sometimes the only thing we have left to resort to. But I’ll give the marchers this; no real current evidence. But I think we will have to overrun the place to find it.

Todays current affairs of the world:
-Political game of ‘hot potatoe’ between US, UN, and Iraq.
-Iraq bans weapons of mass destruction. hmm. ok. ya sure.
-Austria wont allow US troops to move through Alps. An obvious boycott to any potential war, and the US media treats it as if Germany, France and Austria are ‘against’ the US… merely voicing their opinion, and power to say that they dont condone war yet…
-Canadian Prime Minister also does not want a war to break out, without UN support.
-Bush says UN may soon be a thing of the past.
-North Korea Wondering what it has to do to attract US Military action.
-Texan unable to trick NASA into hauling old washing machine off their lawn.
-Attorney General John Ashcroft gave explicit orders to his satff to tightly bind him in heavy iron chains before the next full moon.
-mob mob mob mob
I think we have reached a point where politics just does not work anymore and people are ready to start head butting each other no matter how democratic they are. When it comes down to it all we really want to do is make our point by killing each other. It would be worse if women ran countries because they would feel that way every month =(.
Rosie (who is taking a media break unless the Iraqites are coming up the street….)
Just watched the news here in the UK 7.30pm. All I can say is this reminds me of the dominoes lining up just before the first world war :( . All it will take is one push and the dominoes will fall. I have never seen anything like it or read anything like it in history before but it just smacks of WW1 to me. So, if it goes like this then our forces must learn the one lesson the Germans didnt and that is to keep supply lines up with the front line troops. Never be surprised just how far you can go and if you have a Schlieffen plan update it and update it again.
SO! Who is on whose side this time?
White Rose (Lord, this would really be a good time for you to come back…..)
(Crumbs, history taught me well, I am thinking like a WW1 German Officer and scored high for it, and is that a good thing or a bad thing?)
What a bloody mess! NATO is in dire straits after a veto imposed by certain members disallowing the US placing defence systems in Turkey, with the intention of scuppering any Iraqi attack via missiles, in the event of any war in Iraq. What it says is, the members who back this action are crippling the US intending to use Turkey as a launch pad for military force, thereby voicing their opinion in that they think that force isn’t necessary on the Iraqi regime at this time. Not in the 53 years of NATO’s existance has anything happened like this, but it smacks of Franco - Germanic opposition. Although Russia has added clout to the veto and China has expressed uncertainty in any belief that Iraq is capable of exacting war on anybody, I can’t help but feel really pissed with those damn French and Germans. Being British I am effected by any potential war that our Government feels it is justified to enter into, with the US as an Allie, and that our position on this continent of Europe is so damn shakey. PM Blair is obviously risking a lot by this potential war and it has been the smaller, less powerful countries that have rallied around to back any possible war with Iraq. So what is it that Germany, France and the others feel they know or need convincing of, that calls on them to act in such a way? One side of me tends to think that its a poke in the eye from them to America and that bothers me. The other side causes me to infer some deeper political notion that they want something, or have something and wont relinquish that. Britain is no fool. Britain knows who its friends are and I hate to publicly say it, but I don’t think any Briton would live under the shadow of these other Euro Clowns. The US may have its faults, but you should all at least play together. Afterall, war is overdue in accordance with the buildup, so I believe that Britain and America have stalled to some degree. At no point have they played a dirty card, regardless of what you think their motives are. The build up of force has concreted the severity of the situation as they see it, and now a dagger has been stabbed in the back. Already Lord Robertson, NATO’s secretary General, has announced his resignation at the end of the year. A fine man, I hope he hasn’t lost his belief. Now, I’m not going to argue as to whether any war is right or wrong, I can’t be bothered to repeat others. What i will say is, no one has yet to disagree that Saddam is a pyscho, whose regime has murdered and robbed for its own gain. Both the US and Brits have stated that a war would topple his regime. It has been proven that Iraq has had weapons of mass destruction and that most are still unaccounted for. Okay, so sanctions imposed and military monitoring (again, UK/US) has kept Iraq at bay, but a war will prove certain things. By a regime change, Iraq will benefit from allowing a democratic government into its country and the people will be a whole lot better off. That to me is worth going to war for but, if Saddam does use WMD on soldiers, it would have proven to all these damn protesters that it took a war for him to use them. The options imposed by Germany for example, of more weapons inspectors and UN troops as peace keepers is just rubbish!!!!! Only by unlimited access will the truth be found. All those that speak of evidence lacking when talking about Saddam having WMD are the same people who fear him using them on troops in a war. What? A fitting phrase I think is, damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
To answer that question, Mr Rosie not only has his job (that he likes!) he also has his pension and a wife who is looking for a job… life is sweet!
I’ve played Legend of Mir for ages now but I got bored. Him indoors installed Everquest but it looks complicated even for him. If you are ever on Mir my name is TravestyAngel and I’m very proud of it….
Hmmmm. Shall I say it? War in Iraq is beginning to look inevitable although I still hold out hopes that it wont. I wonder what the bible code says about it? And am I in it? And would I want to know?
Rosie.
