To answer that, there isnt a group of people regardless of their original objectives, who wouldnt sacrafice their morality inorder to become pro-western. Simply because they arent stupid enough not to. When Sept 11 happened the world was shook. Some shook from shock, others by jubilation, however both sets contained hi-style cafes flocking those wearing Levis and drinking Pepsi, regardless of race or religion. Even Iran fits that bill!
The truth that most states live in a form of bondage, be it poverty, drought or otherwise, meaning that the regime in place has halted the world aiding their plight is relevant when considering the mentality of the person in charge. Mugabe, for example, has his belief, albeit a misguided one, and is as guilty as Hussein when discussing leading by good leadership as opposed to fear by his people, but at the end of the day, he too would sing the party line should he get in the situation required to make himself wealthy, powerful and stable. Its not what they want that matters, its how they get it!!!!No one in this small world goes unnoticed.

As for the plight of the indeginous people, then look no further than China in the recent years, Jews throughout History and Yugoslavia also. Im afraid that birth control is even mentioned in the bible. It is an ancient tactic of man to rid the world of the poverty, weak and apparently worthless. Thank your lucky stars people!!

I would also like to fully concur with your thoughts on Terrorism, but lets be honest. Bush has enough problems at home not to care about the rest of the world. Is he disguising the nations failings in overseas conquests or is he doing what he think he should, on the guidance of those around him? be honest, you cant step back in time and NOT make it the way it is, so where would you feel safer? America is because America does!!! It wasnt a gift on a silver platter. For every aggressor there has to be a conquestor who will fight him.
