I hope we arent wrong. I hope that if war is averted then we dont end up paying the consequences because we chose to sit round and do nothing. I also understand that doing something will cause one hell of a backlash that will also place a price on the heads of those that live in the countries who participated.

But, after watching a public debate on TV tonight I was given the distinct impression that war isnt supported by us Brits and here is why (I think). I dont think it has anything to do with Iraq either.

I think Iraq could be called Wollawolla land for all it matters. Instead, I think it is all about the Americans. Learned people are intent on not supporting America rather than destroying a psychopath in charge of weapons.

Yes indeed, to crack Iraq would be a hammer to a walnut but its the protest of not wanting Blair to curtail to Bush’s personal war that many Brits are displaying protest to such a war. Should anything happen in the meantime then I dont think we will see much sympathy put out to Saddam and it will be all guns to the sand pit, but this isnt going to happen.

Instead, it will be an offensive into Iraq which will be operated without public support and is destined to faulter when men and women die in the field of duty. Again, I still say that not going is the same as opening the door to another Sept 11th.

Me…personally. I Say lets go and get it done and then rebuild without the disease that is Saddam. Afterall, what good is he? I cant see the future and I cant speak about the corrupt funding of terrorism etc, that surrounds America.

I cant speak for Blair either and whether he would indeed shed Brit blood to keep that special relationship alive with America. I can say beer, pizza, sex and days off work. They are all good. oh yes, add some sun, bbq’s and whiskey…especially when it comes out of anothers drink cabinet.
