More and more I am realizing that life is all in your head. Of course there is more than enough stimulus from external sources, but it all depends on how you interpret things around you.
Sometimes I wonder why its so hard for people to realize this, but then I think that maybe its better off. If everyone saw things as menial, then nothing menial would get done. If everyone thought that the job they hold does not really matter all that much in the long run of life, then no job would filled.
That’s where balance falls into play. Having a balance between what matters in life and what does not (to you and your life) and doing things that matter to other people versus doing things to only better yourself or make you happy is where living the perfect life is found. Balance is probably the most challenging thing to do in life.
Going to the extreme side of any one idea is the easy part, finding the balanced middle is much harder… it takes fine tuning and subtle changes in movements or ideas to find the point of equilibrium, and it takes a constant concentrated effort to both stay open to new ideas or changing circumstances and to stay in balance. What that basically means is that once you find balance, it takes just as much effort to stay there or more.
Example: Imagine your goal was to get into top physical condition, you would need to work to a point where growth in muscle and endurance is not noticeable anymore. Once you reach this top level of physical condition, you cannot take it easy and stay there. To stay in that top physical state, you would need to continue to work just as hard…
enough of my opinion. prove me wrong.
