Have you noticed that this battle between the teeny tiny websites has really hit the headlines? Not being one to believe in conspiracy theories I would never be the first to suggest that the two main combatents are carefully exploiting a marketing ploy, but the internet critic guild (ie: Everyone and his dog) have managed to somehow include both sites in either the blogs or online news sites.
And why? Who cares?
Lets be honest…..what have they actually done for you? Are you now determined to better either of them? I dont think so. And what else is evident?

This reply was to an initial post regarding the inanity of the tiny sites, which actually ended up with the author of the post being lynched because her site wasnt quite as good as someone elses. They say a little knowledge is much power when used against someone who knows nothing. Be aware, that a little knowledge forms a platform where some find it too easy to sit. It is all too easy to become bitter when you are actually deceiving yourself.
Sit back and remember what it felt like to learn and grow when you created something, read something, understood something. Change your daily routine! Shrug off the boredom that is existence and do something new for a change. What do I do? Well, when I have a spare 30 minutes I sit here and write stuff. It matters not to me that you like or dislike what I write (I didn’t say agree or disagree), but it pleases me that I do it. I do, however, like to provoke. I then learn something as I read what other people post and that has inspired some truly fine debating! I then reform my opinion if I learn something new that is worth knowing. The chances of a recently discovered mile-wide asteroid, forecast to hurtle towards Earth, actually hitting the planet are “minimal”, a Nasa scientist said today.

To answer that, there isnt a group of people regardless of their original objectives, who wouldnt sacrafice their morality inorder to become pro-western. Simply because they arent stupid enough not to. When Sept 11 happened the world was shook. Some shook from shock, others by jubilation, however both sets contained hi-style cafes flocking those wearing Levis and drinking Pepsi, regardless of race or religion. Even Iran fits that bill!
The truth that most states live in a form of bondage, be it poverty, drought or otherwise, meaning that the regime in place has halted the world aiding their plight is relevant when considering the mentality of the person in charge. I would also like to fully concur with your thoughts on Terrorism, but lets be honest. Bush has enough problems at home not to care about the rest of the world. Is he disguising the nations failings in overseas conquests or is he doing what he think he should, on the guidance of those around him? be honest, you cant step back in time and NOT make it the way it is, so where would you feel safer? America is because America does!!! It wasnt a gift on a silver platter. For every aggressor there has to be a conquestor who will fight him.

Well, why would a group of militant leaders want to change their way of life and give up control so that they could one day be under the same type of government that they despise? Knowing humans minds in general, change is feared. I wonder if any of the Third World countries consider themself as a “Third World Country?”

The world should change their opinion of mass sterilization of poor indigenous people in rural areas and consider it a necessary evil.

Fighting the War on Terrorism to me means:
1) Trying to stop the people in the Middle East from bringing their 3000 year war on the US or other major allies of the US.
2) Trying to stop the 3000 year war in the Middle East in one presidential term (Bush) so that re-election would be more likely.
3) Telling all Terrorist groups of the World that we (US/Europe) have had enough.

Apparently I am in the top 8% of the worlds most affluent populations and a country rated (I think) in the top five for economic power. Yet, I still cant get broadband. I read today, that another major Gulf state has told the West not to invade Iraq sometime soon, and that it would bring “real” problems to the area. Oh well then, thats that, best stop now then. We wouldnt want to upset anyone or incur the wrath of currently dormant activists who may or may not start ploughing vehicles into buildings, and dont even think about allowing a new era of government into a particular country, that could, with good relations, HELP that country. The well known leader stated that the people of Iraq should decide for themselves what they wanted and that should be the end of the matter.
Why is it then, that when the Taliban were kicked out of Afghanistan, did we really find out what had been happening to the people inside the country and now read articles about how these same people now have a chance of a future? I ask that gingerly, as I recognise that this future has alot to do with the attention given to it by countries like USA and Britain, or we could see the imbalance of mob rule spreading back into power. And afterall was said and done, no outside influences spoke up in the defence of the provocation leading to the grand slapping of the Taliban. Was this because they couldnt argue the provocation? Will Sept 11 need to be repeated inorder to kick the next possible terrorist regime?

So I ask, what next?
Personally, I would like to see the end of all this coming and going to the Gulf every time Saddam decides he wants to upset somebody and then retreats enough to quell the fires. He is a master at his game and can rouse a Superpower, plus friends, into tramping all the way over there, chuck a few bombs across his garden, but not actually finish the fight. If he really does possess the weapons, though not the ability to launch them yet, then when is a good time to end this? What is it going to take before enough is enough? I know what my Grandad would have said, god rest his soul, and Im sure he would have said it out of fearing the worst rather than waiting around expecting it to happen again.
